Dear Tawni,

Having lived in San Miguel de Allende for a year back in 1977 ( when it was still budding as a writers colony), I very much enjoyed your dance with death and the myriad of places that dance takes you , both in your head and in physical spaces of Mexico and elsewhere. I too talk about San Miguel in my story "Latin Carino" ( gold winner for "Kindness of Strangers" category this year ) so obviously this place holds a special place in our hearts. "Que viva la vida" as Frida says or as I say "La vida mia es para que todo el mundo puedo disfrutarlo" Congrats on your story and your grand prize! Mohezin.
